The Carmichael Community Center and four city parks provide meeting places, picnic areas, and playgrounds for the public's enjoyment. There are lighted tennis courts, a public pool, two bowling alleys, and two private 18 hole golf courses.

The Carmichael Center also offers rooms for rent to nonprofit and forprofit organizations. Groups may rent single or double rooms, a kitchen, auditorium, gymnasium or amphitheater. Programs at the Center include various sports programs, swimming lessons, and a nature course. The outdoor amphitheater seats 1,000 and is used to present numerous programs.

The Sports Complex is currently undergoing a three-year expansion program funded in part by the citywide half-cent sales tax. The first phase of the expansion includes the construction of a new adult softball complex, with four new fields and parking expected to be completed for fall and spring seasons. Also included in the first phase of expansion is the improvement of the Pony League Park used for the American Legion baseball league and the Searcy High School Lions. Later phases of the expansion will include the addition of 30 acres to house a new soccer complex, numerous basketball courts, and an area for in-line skating.
